Meet Your Instructors
Led by Christian Barrier, a French Army veteran who grew up in the streets of Lyon, France, our training is grounded in real-life experience. Christian has seen firsthand how awareness can prevent most attacks, and his background has shaped his mission to teach safety as a proactive skill, not a reaction.
Based in Alberta, Canada, since 2015, Christian has trained countless professionals and civilians through his former school, KMC Krav Maga Calgary. After its closure in 2021, he and his team are now preparing to reopen as SKM Street Krav Maga in Calgary, Alberta.
Christian teaches alongside his wife, Gabrielle Bedard, co-instructor and program coordinator. Together, they deliver online training designed to help you recognize, avoid, and respond to potential threats long before they become physical.
With more than 20 years of experience teaching Krav Maga, situational awareness, and civilian and corporate safety across France and Canada, their mission is simple:
